I'm almost to Kingston!
Our team has finally met up in Miami, and we're flying down tomorrow afternoon. I already love these people - I can tell that God has a really amazing purpose for all of us.
The Lord brought in all $3,575 of the support. This being my first mission trip where I had to raise money, He definitely used it to show me how to be patient and wait on Him. Most of it came in at the last minute!
Our sixteen team members are from all over the place; Ohio, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and of course good ol' Missouri. :) I can't wait to get to know them and to meet all the Jamaican students, and I especially can't wait to eat the food. But most importantly, this trip and its purpose is a good step or two outside my comfort zone, and that's part of the reason I know I'm in the right place.
My heart of clay has a lot of molding to go through before these four weeks are over.
I am infinitely grateful for all the people who supported me. I wouldn't be on this trip if these folks didn't have Jesus in their hearts, moving them to give.
We'll see what tomorrow brings!
"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" -Matthew 6:26
